Description

Based on Margaret Mitchell’s Pulitzer winning 1936 novel, Gone with the Wind became an epic historical romance in 1939.

The production of Gone with the Wind was troubled from the start. Filming was delayed for two years due to David O. Selznick's determination to secure Clark Gable for the role of Rhett Butler, and the "search for Scarlett" led to 1,400 women being interviewed for the part.

This original art was created for Linda Jones Enterprises launching their new Fine Art license for Gone with the Wind and is currently being displayed at the Chuck Jones Gallery in San Diego, California.

On a personal note, I grew up with this artwork all around me, as my mom is a huge GWTW fan. So she was thrilled when I told her I was created licensed imagery for fine art reproduction.

-Created with Derwent Studio Colored Pencils on tan Mi Tientes paper, 16”x20”. For information regarding the purchase of this piece, you must contact the gallery directly.

Best wishes,
Ben
